Because of God's Love - Places for Prayer

Making time for prayer is a very important matter, but sometimes finding the right place for communication with God is just as important.  We all need sacred spaces and places in our lives.  In today’s New Building DYK we’ll examine how our new facility will make room for prayer.  Thanks, BER

1 John 5:14-15

This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.  And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.

New Building DYK

1.      We currently have a Prayer Room at Grace Avenue that is in the office area.  It is currently being used as a temporary office for Chris Yost as he prepares to start Cross Way UMC.  The Prayer Room has a beautiful stained glass window.

2.      In the new building the Prayer Room and its stained glass window will be relocated to a new space on an outside corridor east of the proposed sanctuary.  The Prayer Room will have an exterior door allowing for greater privacy and more accessibility at all times of day.

3.      The new sanctuary will have kneeling prayer rails at the front.

4.      The renovation of the current Worship Center will include kneeling prayer rails.

BOTTOM LINE:  At Grace Avenue prayer is our past, present and definitely our future.  In the new building we are being intentional about creating sacred spaces for this to happen.

 Jesus, Savior of the world, you call each of us to know you.  Open our hearts so that we may know your gift in our lives and be filled with zeal for your work. AMEN.
